Manam (7 Days) First Week Collection At Box Office

Among two much-hyped Telugu releases, Manam has received an earth-shattering response and concluded the first week with a fantastic collection at the worldwide Box Office. The late Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya starrer has topped the business chart in Andhra Pradesh and the USA, pushing down another new release Vikramsimha featuring Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone in the leads.

Manam is the last movie of late legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao, who passed away on January 22, 2014. So the film goers were eagerly waiting to see him on screen. Released in 800 screens across the globe on May 23, the movie opened to an overwhelming response everywhere on Friday. Apart from viewers' sentiment, a strong positive word of the mouth took its business upwards on the following days.

Having rocked the viewers, Manam has collected Rs 13.47 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in seven days. Its area-wise breakup is Rs 5.20 cr in Nizam, Rs 1.95 cr in Ceded, Rs 1.34 cr in Vizag, Rs 91.41 lakhs in Guntur, Rs 94.20 lakhs in Krishna, Rs 75.85 lakhs in East Godavari, Rs 69.89 lakhs in West Godavari, Rs 39.90 lakhs in Nellore, Rs 1.01 cr in Karnataka, Rs 3.41 lakhs in North India, Rs 21.12 lakhs in Tamil Nadu and Kerala and Rs 1.42 lakhs in Orissa.

Manam has also done superb business in America and become the second highest grosser Telugu film in the country in 2014 after Mahesh Babu's 1: Nenokkadine. The movie has collected Rs 6.45 crores nett ($ 1,096,886) at the USA Box Office in six days. Its day-wise breakup is $ 95,473 on Thu, $ 213,511 on Fri, $ 260,327 on Sat, $ 274960 on Sun, $ 166,541 on Mon, $ 38,370 on Tue and $ 31,074 on Wed.
