The Mega family obviously start with Tollywood ruler Mega Star Chiranjeevi, who started his career in 1978 through Punadhirallu. The actor has acted in 149 movies in Tollywood and is planning to do his 150th movie.There are rumours that his son Ram Charan Teja will be producing the movie.

Mega Star Chiranjeevi was last seen in Magadheera, playing a cameo role. Twenty movies of the actor are the hit movies at the box office. He has attempted a variety of roles which has portrayed his acting skills. He has been called as 'Boss of Telugu Cinema' by critics. His movie Indra broke all his earlier box office records in 2002.

The actor was awarded with the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award at the 58th Filmfare Awards South in 2011 for his contributions to the Telugu film industry. Now, the actor is fully into Politics, he is the member of Rajya Sabha and a Union Minister. After he stopped acting in Telugu film industry, came his brother who has the same glare, looks and voice. The fans who were upset for not seeing Mega Star Chiranjeevi on screen appreciated his brother Pawan Kalyan, their appreciations have made Pawan Kalyan the top actor of Tollywood.

The actor's latest release Govindudu Andarivadele, a famiy entertainer movie has fetched 42 crores approximatelytill its 20th day at box office.

The news about the Tollywood rulers is never ending, there is again, a good news to Mega fans! Naga Babu, cousin of Chiranjeevi is introducing his son Varun Tej to Tollywood. Varun Tej is doing his debut movie Mukunda with Pooja Hegde, the movie is in the post-production stage and slated to release in December.
