The
Mirchi
Music
Awards
South
2013,
which
brings
together
the
music
fraternity
across
all
the
four
southern
language
films,
will
take
place
in
Hyderabad
on
August
16.
This
year,
the
music
artists
from
South
India
will
get
a
chance
to
win
14
awards
across
popular
categories,
Radio
Mirchi
said
in
a
statement
in
Friday.
Each
of
the
four
south
Indian
languages
will
have
a
separate
jury
panel
headed
by
a
chairman.
The
Tamil
jury
is
headed
by
Gangai
Amaran,
Telugu
by
D
Suresh
Babu,
Kannada
by
D
Narayanan
and
Shyamaprasad
will
be
doing
the
honours
for
the
Malayalam
industry.
The
entire
process
of
screening,
short
listing
and
selection
of
winners
is
audited
by
Ernst
and
Young.
Prashanth
Pandey,
CEO,
Radio
Mirchi,
said,
"The
Mirchi
Music
Awards
South
has
reached
its
fifth
year
and
this
is
our
way
of
showing
love
and
respect
to
the
industry
that
is
an
integral
part
of
us." He
added,
"From
screening
to
selection
to
the
final
awards,
each
process
has
been
meticulously
planned
in
a
structured
manner
so
that
no
deserving
work
goes
unnoticed."
Mirchi
Music
Awards
South
were
first
given
in
2010
for
the
best
of
2009
and
the
ceremony
was
held
at
the
Nehru
Indoor
Stadium
in
Chennai
on
17
July
2010.
