Na Bangaru Talli Producer Gets International Award

Dr. Sunita Krishnan, the producer of Na Bangaru Talli, has been awarded the prestigious Nelson Mandela-Graça Machel Innovation Awards 2014, on November 24th at Johannesberg in South Africa. The movie was re-released in theatres on November 21, with public funding. Na Bangaru Talli is a real life incident written and directed by Kerala based director Rajesh Touchriver.

Sunitha Krishnan is an Indian social activist and chief functionary and co-­founder of Prajwala, which is one of the largest organisations in the world that rescues, rehabilitates and reintegrates sex trafficked victims located in Hyderabad. The movie is internationally acclaimed and has won three National Awards directed by her husband Rajesh Touchriver.

Na Bangaru Talli has won 3 National awards and 5 International awards for depicting a real story. After receiving the award, the happy producer took to her facebook page and wrote, "What an honor to get an award in the holy land where Gandhiji and Nelson Mandela started their fight for liberty".
