The 61st National Film Awards for the year 2013 in the Feature Film category, Non-Feature Film category and Best Writing on Cinema were announced today at a press conference held at the National Media Centre. Naa Bangaru Talli has bagged three National Film Award and these honours will be given to the winners at a grand event to be held on May 3.

Naa Bangaru Talli, which has been directed by Rajesh Touchriver and produced by MS Rajesh and Sunitha Krishnan, has won the Best Telugu Film award comprising a Rajat Kamal and Rs 1,00,000 each to the producer and director. Shantanu Moitra has bagged a National Film award in the category of Background Score for her work in the film. She will be honoured with Rajat Kamal and Rs 50,000 cash prize.

Noted writer Nandagopal has won a National Film Award in the category of Best Book on Cinema for his book 'Cinema Ga Cinema'. He will be honoured with a Swarna Kamal and cash prize of Rs 75,000. English and Telugu bilingual movie O Friend, This Waiting has shared Best Arts/Cultural Film with Hindi film The Lost Behrupiya. Naa Bangaru Talli has also garnered a Special Mention by National Film Awards.
