With his brilliant work in Eega, ace director SS Rajamouli has made the filmmakers, stars, viewers and media men across India closely observe every move of the Telugu film industry. Going a step ahead with his upcoming movie Baahubali, the Tollywood filmmaker is attracting international filmmakers. Yes! On Saturday, Oscar winning French director Claude Lelouch visited Baahubali set.
On his Twitter page, SS Rajamouli himself has revealed the news about Claude Lelouch's visit to set of Baahubali at Ramoji Film City, where the film unit is shooting war scenes. Besides posting his photo, the director tweeted, "Team #Baahubali received a pleasant and unexpected visit on the sets last Saturday!" He added, "It was none other than the two-time Oscar winning French director, Claude Lelouch who has directed around 50 films."
Baahubali is a two-part Indian epic film that is being shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil languages. Directed by SS Rajamouli, this period movie features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamanna. It was recently rumoured that Jain community from Karnataka had sent a legal notice to the makers for using the name of 10th century Tirthankara for the title of the movie.
It is also reported that the community, which claims that the title was hurting their religious sentiments, asked the makers of the film to changed its title. Responding to the reports, SS Rajamouli tweeted, "We haven't received any notice from anyone regarding #Baahubali. As told before, our story has got nothing to do with Gomateshwara."
