Raja Rani (3 Days) First Weekend Collection At AP Box Office

Tamil movie Raja Rani has become big hit at the TN Box Office. The makers of the romantic-drama have dubbed it in Telugu and released in Andhra Pradesh on March 14. The Arya, Jai, Nayantara and Nazriya Nazim starrer has proved to be a big money spinner in this state too. The Atlee-directed film has done superb collection at the AP Box Office in the first weekend.

Raja Rani, which started with a bang on Friday, has raked in Rs 2.01 crore nett at the AP Box Office in its first weekend. Trade analyst Trinath says, "It's an exceptional start for a dubbed film. Raja Rani has collected Rs.2.01 crore gross in its opening weekend. It's been a long time since a Tamil movie dubbed in Telugu has turned out to be a hit. The film is on the verge of becoming a hit."

Produced by AR Murugadoss, Raja Rani is romantic comedy, which has been written by Atlee Kumar. The story revolves around John and Regina, who get married reluctantly, but a situation blossoms true love between the couple. GV Prakash Kumar has composed music for the film, while George C Williams handled the camera work for it. Made with a budget of Rs 30 crores, its Tamil version has raked in Rs 50 crore at the Box Office in its life time.
