the
yet-untitled
Telugu
remake
of
Tamil
family
drama
Saivam.
Talented
actor
Nasser
had
essayed
the
role
in
the
Tamil
film,
which
has
been
written,
directed
and
produced
by
AL
Vijay.
Saivam
is
an
extremely
simple
fun-filled
family
drama
with
a
subtle
message
promoting
animal
welfare
and
encouraging
vegetarianism
The
story
revolves
around
a
girl's
attempts
to
save
a
rooster
from
being
slaughtered
by
her
family
as
a
part
of
a
ritual.
Released
in
theatres
on
June
27,
the
movie
has
made
decent
collection
at
the
Box
Office.
Krishnam
Vande
Jagadgurum
fame
director
Krish
aka
Radhakrishna
Jagarlamudi
will
direct
the
Telugu
remake
of
Saivam,
which
is
expected
to
go
on
floors
soon.
While
Rajendra
Prasad
plays
the
protagonist,
child
artist
Sara
Arjun,
who
played
an
important
role
in
the
Tamil
film,
is
likely
to
be
retained
for
the
Telugu
version
as
well.
A
source
from
the
film
unit
revealed,
"We
have
roped
in
Rajendra
Prasad
to
play
the
main
lead.
He
will
play
the
role
originally
played
by
actor
Nassar
in
the
Tamil
version." Meanwhile,
the
source
added,
"Sara
will
mostly
be
retained
in
the
remake.
She
was
so
good
in
the
original,
and
therefore,
the
makers
are
planning
to
go
with
her."
