Ramya Sri Donates Rs 1 Lakh To Chandrababu Naidu

Ramya Sri, who was last seen in Teulgu film O Malli, is one of the generous actresses in Tollywood, who often stretch their helping hand for social causes. Now, this popuar South Indian actress has donated Rs 1 lakh for the development of new capital in Andhra Pradesh (Seemandhra).

Earlier this year, Andhra Pradesh has been divided into two states named Telangana and Seemandhra, where two separate governments are coming into action. While Hyderabad remains the capital city of Telangana, the capital of Seemandhra is yet to decided and built. Nara Chandrababu Naidu of Telugu Desam Party, who has got majority of seats in the recent election and set to become the Chief Minister of the new state Seemandhra, has requested the people in the state to come forward for the development of new capital.

In response to his request, Ramya Sri has recently met Chandrababu Naidu at his party office in Hyderabad. The actress handed over the cheque of Rs.1 lakh to the yet-to-be sworn in Chief Minister, who received the same with appreciation to her. Probably, she has become the first film star to make contribution for the development of the new state capital of Seemandhra.

Ramya Sri, whose real name is Sujatha, is a popular South Indian Actress and she has acted in 250 films in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi and Bhojpuri. Besides acting, she has also written the script and directed the Teulgu film O Malli in which she played the lead. She shaved her head and went bald for her role in the movie.
