Roja Not Seeking Divorce From Selvamani

Telugu actress Roja, who recently contested MLA election from YSR Congress, has slammed the reports that she is seeking divorce from her filmmaker husband RK Selvamani. Recently, rumour mills in film nagar were busy spreading news that all was not well between the actress and the director as they had been staying apart for long time. The buzz was that they were set to officially part their ways.

Roja is now living in Hyderabad, while Selvamani stays in Chennai. The couple have one daughter and one son. Upset with the rumours about her divorce, Roja denied the reports in statement issued to the media. The actress said that they are baseless rumours and their marriage is not in trouble. They are staying separately and it was solely due to professional reasons. She added that she is busy with her political career in Hyderabad, while he focuses on his filmy activities.

In 1991, Roja started her acting career with Rajendra Prasad-starrer Telugu movie Prema Thapassu. Later, RK Selvamani introduced her to Tamil audience with his 1992 film Chembaruthi. She has played female lead in more than 100 movies in Telugu and Tamil and she has worked with superstars like Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna. Currently she is playing supporting roles in a few movies and TV serials.
