Rudhramadevi

2014.
Director
Gunasekhar,
who
is
also
producing
the
movie,
has
already
spent
heavily
on
the
lavish
sets
and
costumes
of
the
movie.
Now,
the
filmmaker
says
that
has
shelled
out
a
hefty
sum
of
Rs
5
crore
on
the
jewellery
for
actress
Anushka
Shetty,
who
is
playing
the
role
of
princess
Rani
Rudhramadevi
in
this
most-talked
about
film.
In
a
statement
to
the
media,
Gunasekhar
confirmed
the
news
about
the
jewellery.
The
director
said,
"We
had
to
keep
everything
as
authentic
as
possible.
From
make-up
to
costumes
to
jewellery,
we
wanted
authenticity.
Therefore,
we
didn't
hesitate
to
spend
so
much
on
jewellery
worth
Rs
5
crore.
All
this
will
make
our
efforts
look
authentic
on
screen."
Rudhramadevi
is
touted
to
be
the
second
highly-anticipated
Telugu
film
after
SS
Rajamouli's
Baahubali.
The
film
features
an
ensemble
cast
of
Rana
Daggubati,
Hamsa
Nandini,
Prakash
Raj,
Catherine
Tresa
and
Baba
Sehegal
in
important
roles.
Maestro
Illayaraja
is
composing
tunes
for
movie,
which
has
the
story
set
against
the
backdrop
of
Kakatiya
dynasty.
The
shooting
of
Rudhramadevi
was
launched
on
14
Feb
2013
in
Warangal
and
the
last
schedule
was
reported
wrapped
up
earlier
this
month.
The
makers
are
said
to
kick-start
its
post
production
works
soon.
The
film
is
expected
to
hit
screens
on
July
2014.
