Shahrukh Khan's Happy New Year Releasing In Telugu
Hrithik Roshan's Krrish 3 and Aamir Khan's Dhoom 3 got released in three versions like Hindi, Telugu and Tamil, and became big hits at the Box Office. Especially, its Telugu and Tamil versions boasted their collection at the ticket counters in the South India. Taking a cue from them, Bollywood Baadshah Shahrukh Khan has planned to release his upcoming movie Happy New Year, which is coming out as a Diwali treat.
Happy New Year will simultaneously be released in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil versions. Bollywood critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#HappyNewYear to be distributed worldwide by Yash Raj. Releases Diwali.. He added, "#HappyNewYear will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages this Diwali."
Touted to be an action comedy-drama film, Happy New Year is produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. This movie marks the reunion of superstar Superstar Shahrukh Khan and director Farah Khan. They have previously worked on Main Hoon Na (2004) and Om Shanti Om (2007), and this will be their third collaboration.
Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone are playing the lead roles in Happy New Year, while Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah appear in the supporting cast. Happy New Year Development
Farah Khan had a faint idea about Happy New Year back in 2005, but she could not develop her idea due to her projects like Om Shanti Om and Tees Maar Khan. Her rift with Shahrukh Khan further deferred its development.
Happy New Year Pre-Production
After she sorted out her difference with Shahrukh Khan, Farah Khan seriously started working on the project Happy New Year. She began the pre-production works of the film in October, 2012.
Female Lead In Happy New Year
Initially the names of Sonakshi Sinha, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Parineeti Chopra and Katrina Kaif were reportedly considered for the female lead in Happy New Year. However, Deepika Padukone was finalized later.
Deepika-SRK Chemistry
Deepika Padukone already worked with Shahrukh Khan in Om Shanti Om and Chennai Express and their chemistry has been proved to be successful. Happy New Year will be their third film together.
SRK-Deepika's Roles In HNY
The makers of Happy New Year have kept the story and details of the lead characters. Shahrukh Khan is reportedly playing a con artist, while Deepika Padukone appears as a Marathi dancer in the film.
Supporting Cast In HNY
Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood and Boman Irani are playing important roles in Happy New Year. Jackie Shroff will play antagonist in the film, while Vivaan Shah essays the role of a computer hacker and also narrates the film in the first half.
Cameo Appearances In HNY
Farah's brother Sajid Khan, Malaika Arora Khan and Vishal Shekar will be making guest appearances while actor-director Prabhu Deva performs a dance number in the film in a cameo appearance for the film.
Happy New Year Shooting
The first schedule of filming for Happy New Year started in Dubai and a major portion of the film is being shot in the prestigious Atlantis, The Palm. On 23 January 2014, Khan was injured while shooting for the film at JW Marriott Hotel, Mumbai. Later, Mehboob Studios was used as one of the major locations, while certain portions were also filmed near the Wilson College.
Happy New Year Songs
The musician duo - Vishal-Shekhar is composing the music for Happy New Year, while Irshad Kamil writes the lyrics for its soundtracks.Arijit Singh will do a special track for the film. The film has a song named "Indiawaale" as revealed by the makers.
Happy New Year First Look
The first look of Happy New Year was launched on January 2, 2014. Meanwhile, they also held publicity campaign on Twitter. As part of the promotions, the digitally-signed personal posters were tweeted to followers.
