Shweta Basu Prasad Reveals Reason For Getting Into Prostitution

Telugu actress Shweta Basu Prasad has admitted making wrong choices. She was arrested after she was found involved in the high profile prostitution racket at a reputed hotel in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad on Sunday, August 31. During the police interrogation, the actress has reportedly told that some people encouraged her to choose prostitution to earn money, when she was struggling to support her family.

"I've made wrong choices in my career, and I was out of money. I'd to support my family and some other good causes. All the doors were closed, and some people encouraged me to get into prostitution to earn money. I was helpless, and with no option left to choose, I got involved in this act," the Deccan Chronicle quotes Shweta Basu Prasad's statement made before the Police.

Shweta Basu Prasad is not the first Telugu actress to get involved in flesh trade. Earlier, actresses like Yamuna, Bhuvaneshwari, Aish Ansari, Saira Banu, Jyothi and a few others were caught red-handed. Shweta Basu Prasad added, "I'm not the only one who faced this problem, and there are several other heroines who have gone through this phase."
