Telugu Stars To Come Under One Roof For Memu Saitham

Telugu film stars like Chiranjeevi, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Mahesh Babu and Pawan Kalyan will come under one roof on Novemebr 30, in Hyderbad for Memu Saitham. Memu Saitham is a entertainment initiative by the filmdom to raise funds for victims of the Hudhud cyclone.

While several stars have already lent their financial support to the cause, this time Tollywood as a whole will be uniting to raise the funds for Chief Minister relief fund.

"We have all come forward for a noble cause and we urge the Telugu diaspora across the globe to come together and contribute to the rebuilding of Vishakhapatnam, which was devastated due to Hudhud cyclone," said Mega Star Chiranjeevi while addressing to the media.

As part of the 12-hour telethon, numerous events such as celebrity cricket and kabbadi match, fashion show, skits and dance programmes have been planned. The event is taking place in Annapurna Studios which was established by late Akkineni Nageshwar Rao, also the show will be aired live in Gemini TV channel. Tickets to watch the show is available in internet, which is fast filling say the reports.

"This is a great opportunity for everybody in the industry to show their solidarity. We've also invited stars from Tamil industry to join us. The aim is to raise over Rs. 10 crore for Vishakhapatnam," N.V. Prasad, president, Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce told IANS.

Tamil film stars such as Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan and Suriya are also expected to be present at the event, Memu Saitham.
