Uday Kiran was born on 26 June 1980 and his parents VVK Murthy and Nirmala belonged to Telugu-speaking Vaidiki Brahmins family. Uday Kiran graduated in commerce from Wesley College, Secunderabad. He started modelling, while he was in college. In the year 2000, Uday Kiran made his acting debut through director Teja's first directorial venture Chitram, in which he played the 17-year-old lead character. Chitram, which was a huge success at the Box Office, gave him a big break of his career. Following this success, Uday Kiran was flooded with several other offers in Tollywood. Uday Kiran's next two movies Nuvvu Nenu and Manasantha Nuvve were also big hits at the Box Office. With these films, the actor scored a hat-trick success. Uday Kiran's performance as a hot-blooded youngster in Nuvvu Nenu won him the Filmfare Best Actor Award (Telugu) in the year 2001. After the hat-trick success, Uday Kiran starred in four Telugu movies in 2002, but they were not as successful as his previous movies. In his career spanning 15 years, he has starred in 19 movies, but he was struggling to get offers in recent years. Uday Kiran was last seen Jai Sriram, which featured him as a police cop. Though he had done lot of hard work, the movie bombed at the Box Office. In 2005, he ventured into Tamil with the film Poi directed by K Balachander. He then did two more films, Vambu Sandai and Pen Singam in Tamil, the latter being the story penned by M Karunanidhi, which did moderately well at the Box Office. He was engaged to Chiranjeevi's daughter Sushmitha in 2003, but the engagement was subsequently broken. Uday Kiran tied the knot with his long-time Tamil girlfriend Vishitha on October 24, 2012. His wife is working in a company in Hyderabad. During his last days, he was said to be leading his livelihood on her salary, which was one big reason for his depression. Kiran committed suicide on 5 January 2014. He hanged himself inside his flat in Srinagar colony, Punjagutta, Hyderabad. Police say that he had suffered from depression after not being cast in films for almost a year.Photos Of Uday Kiran's Condolence Meet At MAA Office
