Renowned
Telugu
writer
Yandamuri
Veerendranath
has
penned
the
dialogues
and
screenplay
for
Anamika.
He
says
that
the
job
at
hand
was
not
a
cakewalk
for
him
as
he
had
to
write
a
fresh
script
for
the
remake
of
a
Blockbuster
movie.
He
gushes
that
it
was
a
big
challenge
for
him.
Yandamuri
Veerendranath
attended
the
music
launch
of
Anamika
held
in
Hyderabad
earlier
this
week.
Addressing
the
function,
the
writer
said,
"We
were
not
doing
a
frame-to-frame
remake.
Therefore,
I
was
required
to
rewrite
the
screenplay
and
the
dialogues
because
we
weren't
translating
word
by
word
and
scene
by
scene.
I
have
worked
on
so
many
films,
but
I
never
felt
it
so
challenging
to
write."
Anamika
is
Southern
remake
of
Hindi
film
Kahaani
and
it
is
simultaneously
made
in
Telugu
and
Tamil.
Yandamuri
Veerendranath
says
that
Anamika
has
superseded
the
original.
The
writer
added,
"We've
added
a
social
element
which
was
not
part
of
the
original.
This
has
made
the
remake
even
more
exciting
and
I
feel
it
will
be
better
than
Kahaani."
Directed
by
Sekhar
Kammula,
Anamika
features
Nayantara
in
the
role
originally
played
by
Vidya
Balan.
Also
starring
Pasupathy,
Vaibhav
Reddy
and
Harshvardhan
Rane,
the
film
is
slated
to
release
worldwide
on
May
1.
