HUGE! Akhil First Day (Opening) Box Office Collections, Area-wise Breakup
The young Akkineni scion, Akhil Akkineni's debut movie, Akhil co-starring Sayesha Saigal under the direction of V V Vinayak opened to mixed reviews yesterday. It is known that the film carried great expectations among fans as well as moviegoers since it is the first ever film of Nagarjuna's son.
Industry insiders were also eager to know how Akhil would mesmerize the audience and take forward the Akkineni legacy. Despite the bad reviews for the film, Akhil received heaps of praise from the critics and movie lovers.
Akhil managed to prove his mettle just with his first film and his dances were widely appreciated. The film, which released on November 11 on the occasion of Diwali, garnered huge figures on the opening day and has become the highest grosser among Akkineni films till date.
Also, Akhil managed to break the record of Ram Charan's Chirutha, which holds the record for collecting highest amount of collections for a debut hero. Increased ticket rates have also come in favor of Akhil.
Akhil collected a total share of 7.57 Cr in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana alone while the expected total share of worldwide collections is yet to be known. On that note, check out Akhil's first day box office collections along with area-wise breakup in the slides below.
Nizam
Akhil collected a total share of 2.30 Cr in Nizam after its day 1. Akhil was supposed to release on October 22nd during the Dussera race. However, it got postponed to November 11 due to the delay in graphic works.
Ceeded
Akhil collected a total share of 1.38 Cr in Ceeded after its day 1. Nagarjuna appeared in the last song and grooved along with Akhil and Sayesha.
Vizag
Akhil collected a total share of 0.77 Cr in Vizag after day 1. It was also a debut film for heroine Sayesha Saigal.
Guntur
Akhil collected a share of 0.90 Cr in Guntur after day 1. Akhil revolves around the backstory of Jua, which is a scarce entity that is believed to protect the world from destruction.
Nellore
Akhil collected a share of 0.33 Cr in Nellore after its day 1. Akhil and Sayesha were praised for their chemistry on screen.
Krishna
Akhil collected a total share of 0.65 Cr in Krishna after its day 1. Akhil received mixed response on day 1 and we have to wait and see how it affects the box office performance of day 2.
West
Akhil collected a share of 0.45Cr in West Godavari. Earlier, rumors were rife that they would be a lip lock between the lead pair in a song. However, there was no lip lock in the film.
East
