According
to
the
grapevine,
critics
have
called
for
an
unofficial
ban
on
Mani
Ratnam's
OK
Bangaram.
The
film
is
slated
to
release
on
April
17
and
there
is
no
great
buzz
around
the
film
in
the
media.
The
reason
is
simple.
Suhasini
Mani
Ratnam's
harsh
comments
on
critics
had
led
to
an
unratified
ban
on
the
film.
Since
she
has
asked
only
qualified
critics
to
write
the
reviews
for
OK
Bangaram,
all
the
media
houses
are
planning
to
give
a
retort
to
the
darling
wife
of
the
director,
by
not
promoting
the
film
in
the
media.
This
is
going
to
be
a
major
blow
for
the
director,
if
the
media
men
continue
to
boycott
the
film.
Producer
Dil
Raju
is
trying
his
best
to
move
the
media
houses
to
his
favor,
using
his
good
will.
However,
they
are
in
no
mood
to
excuse.
Along
with
the
review
writers,
film
journalists
have
also
taken
a
stand,
to
get
an
apology
from
the
yesteryear
actress.
Though
OK
Bangaram
is
carrying
good
reports,
this
unwanted
mess
can
create
a
huge
loss
for
the
film.
Meanwhile,
we
have
to
wait
and
see
if
Suhasini
would
change
her
mind
to
lure
the
critics
or
she
continues
to
go
with
the
statements
she
has
made
earlier.
