Baahubali In The Oscar Race

The very first move to see Baahubali in the Oscar race this year has been taken. The five member Oscar selection panel, which is headed by Amol Palekar, is in Hyderabad to scrutinize over 45 films and select India's official entry for the next Oscars.

Going by reports,Baahubali is the official entry from the Telugu film industry, as reportedly said by Telugu film chamber of commerce.

Few of the bollywood biggies like PK, Mary Kom are also in race while Masaan, Kaaka Muttai from Tamil have become tough competitors.

According to the chamber, the last Telugu film that made an entry to Oscars was K Viswanath-Kamal Haasan's Swati Mutyam. The final selection will be revealed on 25 September.
