(61),
who
also
happens
to
be
the
father
of
music
director
Devi
Sri
Prasad,
breathed
his
last
in
Chennai,
early
today.
Satyamurthy
worked
for
nearly
90
films
and
is
known
for
penning
blockbuster
films
like
Devatha,
Khaidi
No.786,
Abhilasha,
Pedarayudu
etc.
While
it
is
ofourse
a
huge
loss
to
DSP's
family,
entire
industry
too
is
mourning
the
death
of
Satyamurthy,
with
great
grief.
He
started
off
his
journey
in
the
industry
as
a
lyricist
and
has
struggled
during
his
initial
days
with
absolute
no
support,
until
he
got
a
big
break
as
a
story
writer
for
the
Super
hit
film,
Devatha,
under
Suresh
Productions.
He
is
also
known
for
delivering
many
'career
turning'
hit
stories
for
Megastar
Chiranjeevi.
Entire
South
Indian
industry
woke
up
to
the
sad
news
of
the
writer's
demise
today
and
few
also
took
to
twitter
to
convey
their
condolences
to
DSP
and
his
family.
Satyamurthy
also
worked
as
a
school
teacher
in
early
days
of
his
career
to
meet
the
ends.
It
is
surely
another
unexpected
blow
to
the
industry.
