In
the
wake
of
unfortunate
circumstances
in
Chennai,
IIFA
Utsavam
management
has
decided
to
postpone
the
event.
Touted
to
be
a
landmark
event
in
the
illustrious
history
of
the
Cinema
of
South
India,
The
International
Indian
Film
Academy
has
announced
IIFA
Utsavam,
to
honor
and
recognize
the
best
of
South
India's
film
industry.
Spanning
across
three
days,
IIFA
Utsavam
was
supposed
to
take
place
on
4th,
5th
&
6th
of
December,
2015
at
Gachibowli
Outdoor
Stadium,
Hyderabad.
However,
due
to
Chennai
rains,
IIFA
has
decided
to
postpone
the
event
to
January.
"#AllForChennai
IIFA
Utsavam
in
solidarity
with
the
people
of
Chennai",
read
a
tweet
from
the
IIFA
Utsavam
official
account.
Megastar
Chiranjeevi
confirmed
to
be
the
guest
of
honor
and
Allu
Sirish,
Regina
and
Navdeep
were
supposed
to
host
the
show
for
the
Telugu
segment
of
awards.
Ram
Charan,
Akhil
Akkineni,
Shriya
Saran
and
Tamannah
Bhatia
have
already
practiced
well
to
set
the
stage
on
fire.
But
amidst
the
chaos
in
the
neighboring
state,
IIFA
thought
of
rescheduling
the
event
and
postponed
the
fun
to
a
later
date.
Many,
including
us
commend
IIFA's
move
though.
Stay
tuned
to
this
space
for
further
updates
on
the
event.
