WOW! Rudhramadevi Team Found A Kakatiyan Treasure

Director Gunasekhar's dream project Rudhramadevi is finally all set to hit screens this Friday without any further disturbances.

The director cum producer of the film is often quizzed if he has found any treasure of Kakatiya Dynasty, to actually completely the film with such grandeur, despite of many financial burdens.

Reacting to the question at a recently held media meet, director revealed on a lighter note that he indeed found the Kakatiyan treasure and it is Rudramadevi's story.

He further added that the treasure itself attracted the huge start cast it needed, like Anushka, Allu Arjun and Rana to its side and eventually the huge budget.

Set against the backdrop of Kakatiya dynasty, the film narrates the life story of powerful warrior queen Rudhramadevi. Anushka too joined in to explain the potentiality of the script.

"What really drew me to the project was the emotional turmoil Rudhramadevi went through as a woman. It was so intense. She still ruled with compassion, cared for her people and kingdom more than her own life," said Anushka,

"This is Gunasekar's story, so I chose to see it from his point view. I trusted his vision and blindly followed his lead. My character was developed based on research, including discussions with several historians," she added.
