Uttama Villain Release Delayed, No Clarity Yet

The release of Kamal Haasan's Uttama Villain remains uncertain as theatres in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu have cancelled the first few shows. The delay in the release is said to be becaue of some financial problems between the makers of the movie and financiers.

The early morning and matinee shows across the states were halted and the audience as well as Kamal fans are waiting at the theatres for the shows to start, from early morning.

"Talks are going on between the producers and financiers. The film is likely to release in the evening," a source from the film's unit said.

Apparently, the film's producers Thirrupathi Brothers owe Eros International, who are distributing the film worldwide, nearly Rs.5 crore. The film's shows have also been cancelled in Kartanaka as well.

Uttama Villain, directed by Ramesh Aravind, features Kamal Haasan as an 8th century artist and modern-day superstar. The film is said to be about a evil man in a good man and vice versa.
