Day 1 of the much awaited awards night, IIFA Utsavam witnessed a crazy bunch celebrities on the green carpet, who dressed like a dream. The green carpet adorned the bling with the beauties walking in some designers ensembles. The award night honored the talents of Tamil and Malayalam industry on Sunday while, the day 2 will see the felicitation for the talents of Telugu and Kannada.

Apparently the event was a star-studded one, with stars from all four south industries present. Click on the slides below to see the stars, who walked the green carpet with elegance. 

Rakul Preet Singh

It is Rakul, who got all the attention at IIFA Utsavam on Day 1. The actress, who is basking in the glory of Nannaku Prematho success looked ethereal draped in a saree.


Tamannaah was in match with the green carpet at IIFA and she attended the event along with her parents.

Akhil - Sai Dharam Tej

One of the best buddies of t-town, Sai Dharam Tej and Akhil Akkineni walked the green carpet together at IIFA Utsavam on Day 1.

Regina Cassandra

Regina looked red hot at IIFA Utsavam on Day 1. She will be hosting the Telugu segment along with Allu Sirish and Navadeep on Day 2.

Ramya Krishna

Ramya Krishna, who is not in a mood to look back after the success of Baahubali and Soggade Chinni Nayana, stunned in a Varun Bahl ensemble at IIFA Utsavam day 1.

Rashi Khanna

The new fad in town, Rashi Khanna looked gorgeous on day of IIFA Utsavam.

Lavanya Tripati

The lucky charm, Lavanya Tripati, who bagged back to back success Bhale Bhale Magadivoy and Soggade Chinni Nayana, was stunning at in Pink at IIFA Utsavam day 1.

Kamal Haasan

Kamal Haasan attended the event as the guest of honor and he felicitated daughter of late K Balachander with life time achievement award, on behalf of the legendary director.


Taapsee raised eyebrows of many with her rocking dance performance at IIFA Utsavam, choreographed by Shiamak.

Shriya Saran

Like always, Shriya Saran looked beautiful on day 1 of IIFA Utsavam.


Karthi too has come to Hyderabad to attend IIFA Utsavam, which is a fundraiser for Chennai.

Adah Sharma

Adah Sharma impressed with her killing looks on green carpet at IIFA Utsavam on day 1.

Baahubali flagged off its winning charm at IIFA too, as the film bagged a total of six most important awards at the event, in Tamil. Best director, Best Film, Best Supporting Actor and Actress went for Rajamouli's magnum opus, while it also received awards for Best Playback Singer Male and Female.

Kamal Haasan attended the event as the guest of honor and the event started with a classical performance. Ennu Ninte Moideen and Premam bagged the most number of awards in Malayalam. At the award ceremony, special tributes were paid to late filmmaker K. Balachander, music composer M.S Vishwanathan and producer T.E Vasudevan.  Taapsee, Adah Sharma were seen setting the stage on fire with their sizzling acts.

On Monday, 25 January, the best talents across the Telugu and Kannada industries will be honoured, along with a few rocking performances by stars like Ram Charan, Akhil Akkineni, Tamannaah and others. We hear that Mahesh Babu will take home the best actor award for Srimanthudu, beating Prabhas of Baahubali.
