It
is
known
that
Puri
Jagannadh
has
filed
a
case
on
the
distributors
of
his
film
Loafer,
claiming
that
they
have
attacked
him
to
repay
the
losses
incurred
with
the
film.
"Jagannadh
in
his
complaint
alleged
that
Abhishek,
Sudhir
and
M
Subbaiah
came
to
his
office
at
Jubilee
Hills,
on
Thursday
and
assaulted
him
demanding
back
the
money
they
had
invested
in
Loafer",
sub-inspector
Maqsood
Ali
said,
adding
police
was
investigating
the
matter.
However,
the
distributors'
version
is
in
complete
contrast.
The
association's
President
Sudhakar
Reddy,
along
with
the
distributors
of
Loafer,
held
a
press
meet
to
clarify
that,
they
did
not
attack
anyone,
but
has
only
requested
the
director
to
share
the
losses,
that
too,
a
few
months
ago.
They
expressed
their
suspicion
on
why
the
director
is
creating
a
ruckus
now,
out
of
nowhere.
The
distributors,
on
whom
the
cases
were
registered
also
attended
the
press
meet
and
cleared
that,
they
were
out-of-town,
during
the
time,
the
alleged
attacked
happened.
They
took
the
opportunity
to
vent
out
their
anguish
on
the
loopholes
of
the
distribution
business
in
Telugu
cinema.
They
opined
that,
the
rules
that
currently
exist
are
biased,
and
asked
the
media
also,
to
look
into
the
downside
of
the
business.
According
to
what
they
said,
the
profit
and
losses
are
not
being
distributed
among
the
beneficiaries
properly.
It
is
learnt
that
distributors
would
only
get
twenty
percent
of
the
profits,
if
a
film
works
well,
where
as,
they
are
the
only
ones
facing
the
risk
involved,
if
it
bombs
at
the
box-office.
We
have
to
see
what
Puri
has
to
say
for
this
argument,
while
his
close
associates
calling
the
distributors
greedy
and
their
version,
pointless.
