Mahesh
Babu's
Brahmotsavam,
which
released
on
20
May,
amidst
high
expectations,
tanked
heavily
at
the
box
office,
failing
to
collect
decent
revenues
even
on
its
first
day.
It
is
in
fact
a
huge
shocker
for
the
trade
pundits.
Apparently,
this
gave
rise
to
a
debate
among
fan
clubs
on
the
careers'
biggest
disasters
of
the
top
league
stars.
Needless
to
say,
this
led
to
a
war
of
words
between
the
fan
groups,
especially
among
Mahesh
and
Pawan
fans,
comparing
the
collections
of
both
the
heroes'
disaster
films.
The
debate
eventually
heated
up
as
it
led
to
a
comparison
of
the
stars'
box-office
potential,
in
pulling
off
a
flop
movie.
Pawan
Kalyan
fans
started
trending
#UndisputedKingOfOpeningsPSPK
on
Twitter,
since
Sardaar
collected
more
than
Brahmotsavam,
on
its
first
day.
This
irked
Mahesh
fans
and
they
gave
a
retort
by
trending,
#DisasterStarOfDecadePSPK
and
#GayStarPawanKalyan,
and
the
war
of
hashtags
soon
turned
uglier.
The
enmity
among
the
fan
groups
attracted
everybody's
attention,
while
PK
fans
succesfully
trended
#SaveBrahmotsavamBuyers,
#SerialStarMaheshBabu,
#Floputsavam
and
#DisasterStarMaheshBabu
India
wide,
shaming
the
Telugu
hero
on
a
public
platform.
This
is
insanely
getting
murkier
and
we
wonder
how
would
Pawan
Kalyan
or
Mahesh
Babu
feel,
if
they
come
across
their
fans'
social
behaviour.
