Mohanlal
reportedly
shocked
the
makers
of
NTR's
Janatha
Garage,
by
pocketing
crores
with
his
brilliant
marketing
tactics.
Apparently,
the
Malayalam
superstar
demanded
1.5
Crores
remuneration
to
act
in
the
film,
along
with
the
rights
of
the
Malayalam
version,
to
which
Mythri
Movie
Makers
readily
agreed.
But,
it
was
a
major
blow
to
them,
when
they
got
to
know
that
the
actor
sold
the
Malayalam
rights
for
a
whopping
price
of
4.5
Crores,
using
his
brand
name
and
the
goodwill
of
the
other
cast
and
crew,
in
the
state.
Looks
like
the
producers
miscalculated
the
market
of
Mohanlal
and
are
regretting
it
now,
for
leaving
a
huge
business
area
all
to
the
actor's
sack.
In
fact,
NTR
was
keen
on
the
Malayalam
market
right
from
the
beginning,
because
of
which
the
director
has
also
cast
Nithya
Menen,
who
is
one
of
the
top
league
actresses
of
Malayalam
industry,
and
Unni
Mukundan
and
a
few
other
familiar
faces.
Though
NTR
and
the
Mythri
Movie
Makers
concentrated
on
exploring
the
different
markets
and
expanding
the
reach
of
their
film,
they
did
not
do
their
research
right,
which
has
in
turn
benefited
Mohanlal.
Now
that
was
an
amazing
move
by
the
Superstar.
Experience
does
it
all.
