In Pics: No Guests From Tollywood, Asin Marries Rahul Sharma

Asin Thottumkal, who paired up with top southern stars like Pawan Kalyan, Vikram, Venkatesh, Nagarjuna and Surya, today tied the knot with Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma in a Christian wedding ceremony.

The couple got married in the morning at a resort hotel. While the 30-year-old Ghajini actress donned a white gown, the groom opted for a black suit and bow tie. Surprisingly, none of her co-stars or friends from the South film industry were invited for the wedding. Click on the slides below to see the pictures of Asin's dream wedding.

Asin and Rahul Sharma had a Church wedding first, which followed by a Hindu wedding in the evening. Asin was seen wearing a Sabyasachi Lehanga for her big day.

Asin is now taken. The love birds had a church wedding and it was Asin's idea to have a christian wedding before they had a Hindu wedding in the evening.

Hindu Wedding

Though the Church wedding was a complete private affair, Hindi wedding of Rahul and Asin happened amidst 200 guests at 7 PM on January 19th.

Venue

The gorgeous Asin and handsome Rahul Sharma will be tying the knot at the stunning resort, Dusit Devarana, which is located at NH8, New Delhi. Bollywood's big shots as well as business tycoons are expected to attend the Hindu wedding.

'Ghajini' Love

It is interesting that Asin actually found her love like how she did in her most popular film, Ghajini. Looks like she owes not only her Bollywood career to the film but also her entire life as she has got her Mr.Right because of the film. Some weddings are written in heaven they said.

After all that that is said, it leaves us clueless that why Asin is keeping her friends from South away on her big day.

Gracing the occasion was Asin and Rahul's close friend superstar Akshay Kumar, who also played cupid for the couple. "It was a beautiful wedding. Everyone looked amazing. Akshay was present. It was Asin's idea to have a Catholic wedding. We all are very happy," said a close relative of Rahul.

Delhi-based music group Elohim Worship band performed at the wedding. "Everything went great at the wedding. We played some 2-3 songs. Asin looked beautiful in her white gown. We had a rehearsal yesterday," said a band member.

The wedding rituals began around 11 and went on for about 30 minutes. The couple had a second ceremony as per Hindu rituals in the evening at the same venue. "The time for the wedding is at 7 pm and it includes jaimala and pheras," said one of the priests invited to solemnize the marriage.

Around 200 people have been invited by Rahul for the evening ceremony, sources said. The wedding will be followed by a reception in Mumbai. We hope to see some of the guests from South also in the invitees list this time. No complains though. Happy married life Asin.
