Puri Jagannadh & Kalyan Ram's ISM Heavily Inspired By V For Vendetta?

ISM's first look starring Kalyan Ram was released on the eve of the actor's birthday. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the film's poster featured Kalyan Ram in a completely new avatar and this 'Puri mark' makeover has been getting a great response from the audiences.

However, the first look poster looks heavily inspired by the theme of an English film, V for Vendetta and the movie buffs doubt if the plot of ISM is also inspired from it.

The mask placed behind the protagonist in the poster reminds us of the one that was popularized in V for Vendetta and the quotes also makes us feel nostalgic.

V for Vendetta deals with the issues of homosexuality, criticism of religion, terrorism and totalitarianism and incidentally the topics were used in the title design of ISM. This makes us further wonder if the film is an adaptation of the Hollywood flick.

In fact, Puri Jagannadh's films will always have one or two punch lines to counter those aspects of society, but this could be a full-fledged take of his, on the issues.

V for Vendetta's controversial story line and themes have received a lot of criticism and we have to see how good Puri Jagannadh has adopted the idea to suit the Telugu cinematic formula, if the whole 'inspiration' we are sniffing is anything real.
