OH! Taapsee's Loss Is Lavanya Tripathi's Gain

Actress Lavanya Tripathi has been roped in to play the female lead in filmmaker C.V. Kumar's yet-untitled Tamil directorial debut, which features Sundeep Kishan in the lead.

"I am excited to be part of the project. Sundeep and I have been good friends and I am really looking forward to start working," Lavanya revealed.

The film originally featured Taapsee Pannu, who had to exit the project due to date issues. Tipped to be a sci-fi thriller, the film is also expected to be simultaneously made in Telugu. Studio Green is bankrolling the project, which will go on the floors later this month.

Currently, Lavanya is basking in the glory of back-to-back success of Bhale Bhale Magadivoy and Soggade Chinni Nayana, though LOL tanked heavily at the box-office to her disappointment. Though she missed a hat-trick, she is here to say with many offers coming her way.
