Will Kattappa Apologize To Kannadigas And Make Smoother Way For Bahubali 2?

Well, Bahubali 2 is all geared up to hit screens on 28th April worldwide and fans are equally pumped up to grab their first set of tickets to watch the magnum opus and to find out answer to the most sought after question, "Why Katappa Killed Bahubali" ?

However, the scenario seems to be different in Karnataka as some activists from certain social outfits and members of social media have raised objection for the movie's release in Karnataka. The reason for the protest against the movie is none other than Katappa. No, it's not Katappa, the character but instead Satyaraj, the actor who has portrayed Katappa character.

The incident in question happened close to a decade ago. During the time of Hogenakkal protest, actor Satyaraj is said to have allegedly made some remarks against the Kanadigas and a social activist, Vatal Nagaraj.

Though the incident happened nearly a decade ago, and that Satyaraj had acted in over a dozen of movies which were released in Bangalore, including the first part of Bahubali, the protesters in Karnataka were not much aware of the 62-year old actor's movies.

With Bahubali raising the fame of Satyaraj in the form of Katappa, the social outfits in the state want an open apology from Satyaraj to Kannadigas and Vatal Nagaraj.

This protest might result in some initial hiccups for the Bahubali 2 for its release in Karnataka as the distributors and film producers are confident that the movie would make a cool business of somewhere between 40-50 Cr share in the Karnataka circuit itself.

40-50Cr distributor is quite an amount and it is sure that neither the makers nor the distributors would take any chances with the movie's prospects in Karnataka.

So, will the producers or distributors of the movie hold amicable talks with the Rakshana Vedike and other social outfits who are protesting against the movie seeking Satyaraj's apology or will they request the Amaidhi Padai actor to tender a soft apology and clear the air in a harmonious manner?
Only time needs to tell and the time is not too far. All eyes are set on April 28, which is the release day of the movie.
