Aravinda Sametha: Is Jr NTR's Film Loosely Based On This Prabhas Starrer?

Last year, the dashing Jr NTR became the talk of the town for all the right reasons when his much-hyped film Jai Lava Kusa opened to a thunderous response at the box office and received rave reviews from all quarters. Directed by Bobby, it featured the 'Young Tiger' in a triple role and proved to be a delight for all and sundry. With Jai Lava Kusa in the rear-view, Jr NTR is currently working on the eagerly awaited Aravinda Sametha.

The film is a Trivikram Srinivas directorial and it has created a great deal of buzz amongst the movie buffs, thanks to its awesome teaser. Now, the film is in the spotlight for a rather unexpected reason.

The buzz is that Aravinda Sametha's basic plot is similar to that of the 2013 release Mirchi. The recently released Peniviti song revolves around how the protagonist tries to know more about his dad. And, needless to say, this has added fuel to these rumours.

Interestingly, just like Mirchi, Aravinda Sametha too is set in the Rayalaseema region and deals with warring factions. This is another big reason behind these rumours. It will indeed be worth watching whether these rumours ultimately prove to be true or not.

In case you did not know, Mirchi was one of the biggest hits of 2013 and featured Prabhas-Anuskka Shetty in the lead roles. Upon its release, it received rave reviews from all corners and helped 'Darling' continue his rise to super-stardom. Mirchi was later remade in Kannada as Maanikya with Sudeep in the lead.

On a related note, Aravinda Sametha also has Pooja Hegde in the lead and is slated to hit the screens this Dussehra.
