A
few
months
ago,
actress
Sri
Reddy
stripped
in
public
and
made
a
few
shocking
claims
about
the
Telugu
film
industry.
During
her
protest,
she
said
that
casting
couch
is
a
reality
and
added
that
several
top
producers
exploit
local
girls.
She
also
claimed
that
they
prefer
casting
girls
from
Mumbai
in
their
films
and
ignore
the
local
talent.
Thereafter,
she
levelled
a
host
of
allegations
against
the
likes
of
Nani
and
Koratala
Siva
and
this
left
everyone
in
a
state
of
shock.
As
expected,
her
actions
grabbed
a
lot
of
attention.
While
actors
Karthi
and
Vishal
asked
her
to
provide
proper
evidence
to
back
her
claims,
actress
Andrea
Jeremiah
backed
the
feisty
lady
and
said
that
her
actions
were
commendable.
"If
what
Sri
Reddy
saying
is
true,
then
it
takes
a
strong
heart
to
reveal
it.
I've
never
faced
any
allegations
like
that,
but
if
someone
faces
things
like
that,
saying
it
openly
is
correct
and
the
people
behind
this
should
be
punished,"
-
(sic)
she
added.
Now,
noted
actress
Meena
has
commented
on
the
casting
couch
row
and
indirectly
supported
Sri
Reddy.
While
speaking
on
the
matter,
she
said
that
women
often
face
sexual
harassment
and
added
that
they
should
rely
on
their
talent
alone,
while
striving
to
reach
greater
heights.
"It's
very
unfortunate
that
sexual
harassment
is
happening
in
all
the
fields.
Though
I
haven't
faced
it,
Such
tortures
used
to
exist
in
our
times
as
well.
Men
should
change
at
least
now.
Such
people
need
to
keep
in
mind
that
they
have
wife
and
children.
Even
Women
should
rely
only
on
their
talent
to
reach
greater
heights,"
she
added.
Well,
these
are
some
strong
words
and
they
might
create
a
great
deal
of
buzz
in
the
industry.
On
a
related
note,
Sri
Reddy
has
made
it
clear
that
she
plans
to
continue
highlighting
the
evil
practice
of
casting
couch.
Recently,
she
had
said
that
Tollywood
is
controlled
by
a
few
families
and
hence
there
is
no
room
for
new
talent.
"In
Telugu,
the
audience
will
watch
and
encourage
the
films
featuring
big
heroes.
Only
four
film
families
are
ruling
the
entire
industry.
That
is
the
reason
why
Tollywood
is
the
worst
of
all.
Also,
the
industry
does
not
encourage
any
new
talent.
However,
in
Chennai,
even
the
small-budget
films
are
getting
recognised,"
she
had
added.
She
had
also
revealed
that
she
is
working
on
her
biopic.
