Directed by actor-director SJ Suryah, Kushi was one of the biggest hits of 2001 and it went a long way in establishing Bhumika as a bankable name in Tollywood. In the romantic-drama, she was paired opposite Pawan Kalyan. And, as expected, she did full justice to her role. Interestingly, Kushi was a remake of the Tamil film of the same name and saw Bhumika essay the role played by Jyothika in the original version.
Featuring a strong and gripping performance from Bhumika, Misamma received rave reviews upon its release and clicked with its target audience. The positive response to Misamma helped the star bag the Nandi award for 'Best Actress'. The film also had Sivaji in the lead.
Sillunu Oru Kaadhal
One of the most underrated films of Bhumika's career, Sillunu Oru Kaadhal was a romantic-drama and saw her act opposite Suriya. As expected, the actress impressed the movie buffs with her simple yet effective performance and left them asking for more. Her chemistry with Suriya was quite crackling and it added a new dimension to the film.
Directed by Venu Sri Ram, MCA emerged as one of the biggest hits of 2017 and received rave reviews from all corners. In it, Bhumika played the role of Nani's sister-in-law and delivered a solid performance. MCA also featured the young sensation Sai Pallavi in the lead.
