Radhika Apte Shares Her 'Me Too' Story; Says A Co-star Once Offered Her A Midnight Back-rub

An Awkward Offer!

Radhika said that during the shoot of a film, a co-star offered her a midnight back rub and made her feel extremely awkward. She also revealed that she had never even spoken to the person prior to that incident.

Her Exact Words

"I can share one incident that happened recently, I had actually hurt my back. We did the shoot and I was heading back to my room with another guy who was in the same lift. He was part of the film but we had not spoken much. He said that, ‘Let me know if you need me in the middle of the night for help, I can come and give your back a rub'."

A Misunderstanding

Radhika went on to add that she soon realised that her co-star was from a different culture and he did not even realise that his comment had made her feel uncomfortable. She also made it clear that he had apologised to her for his actions.

She Added

"Then I came to know that the culture that he comes from is such that he didn't realise that he made me uncomfortable with that statement. However, later he never made me feel uncomfortable and apologised."

A Busy Time For The Actress

On a related note, this is a busy time for Radhika. She will soon be seen alongside Ayushmann Khurrana in her next big Hindi film Andhadhun. It is a mystery-thriller and also features the Iruvar actress Tabu in a key role.
