Last year, the lovely Pooja Hegde made a successful comeback to Telugu cinema when Duvvada Jaganadham opened to a good response at the box office and received decent reviews from the movie goers. In the action-comedy, the sultry lady played a glamorous character and lit the screen on fire with her bikini act. Now, she is in the limelight because of her latest release Saakshyam, which hit the screen on Friday (July 27, 2018). The action-thriller opened to a good response at the box office and it seems to have done a decent business over the first weekend. Here's a look at the film box office performance.
A Decent First Weekend!
According to a leading website, Saakshyam managed to collect close to Rs 14 Crore at the worldwide box office over the first weekend. Its total share stands at Rs 8.4 Crore. The figures for Monday (July 30, 2018) have not been released yet. However, the feeling is that the Day 4 collections will be decent.
Saakshyam Makes An Impact In AP
Not surprisingly, Saakshyam has fared reasonably well at the AP box office and collected nearly Rs 11 Crore in three days. Its share stands at Rs 7.25 Crore. The film has also done decent business in markets such as Guntur, Nellore and Vizag.
The WOM Is Positive
The general feeling is that Saakshyam is a decent film, which features a liberal scoop of mass elements. The film's leading man Bellamkonda Sreenivas has been praised for delivering a competent performance. Similarly, Pooja has received praises for carrying her traditional look with grace. As such, the WOM is reasonably healthy. And, needless to say, this might help Saakshyam in the coming days.
Will Goodachari Create A Problem For Saakshyam?
Adivi Sesh's Goodachari is slated to hit the screens this Friday (August 3, 2018). The film is a spy-thriller and has created a reasonable amount of buzz amongst the fans. As such, Saakshyam is not going to have a free run next week. In other words, the next few days are going to be crucial for the film and might decide its box office fate.
