The year 2017 was arguably a terrific one for those associated with the Telugu film industry. On one hand, bona fide A-listers such as Prabhas and Nandamuri Balakrishna delivered awesome performances and left the movie buffs asking for more. Similarly, on the other hand, young stars such as Vijay Deverakonda and Varun Tej too gave strong proof of their acting abilities. The year also saw the Baahubali 2 juggernaut redefine the tenets of Telugu cinema and become a global sensation. Last night(September 15, 2018), during Day 2 of the SIIMA Awards 2018, the biggest achievers of 2017 were honoured amidst much fanfare.
