SIIMA Awards 2018 (Telugu): Here Are The Winners
There's no denying the fact that 2017 was a terrific year for those associated with the Telugu film industry. On one hand, established names such as Prabhas and Nandamuri Balakrishna delivered awesome performances and left the fans asking for more. Similarly, on the other hand, young stars such as Vijay Deverakonda and Varun Tej too proved that they've arrived. The year also saw the Baahubali 2 juggernaut redefine the tenets of Tollywood and become a global phenomenon. Now, the time has come to honour the big achievers of 2017.
The SIIMA Awards 2018 had kicked off yesterday(September 14, 2018) amidst much fanfare. Tonight(September 15, 2018), during the second day of the prestigious event, the biggest names from the Telugu film industry will compete for the top honours. When all is said and done, the best of the lot will walk away with the spoils.

‘Best Comedian-Rahul Ramakrishna
Actor Rahul Ramakrishna bagged the ‘Best Comedian' award and this gave hisdie-hard fans a big reason to rejoice. He is quite a talented individual and has a bright future.

Best Music Director- MM Keeravani
Not surprisingly, SS Keeravani won the award for ‘Best Music Director'. His tunes were a big highlight of Baahubali 2 and added a new dimension to the on-screen action.

Keeravani's son Kaala Bhairava was adjudged ‘Best Playback Singer'. It seems that, just like his dad, he too is a powerhouse of talent. That's what we call a musically-gifted duo

The legendary Balakrishna bagged the ‘Best Actor In A Leading Role(Critics)' award for Gautamiputra Satakarni. The period-film was one of the biggest hits of 2017.
Best Actor In A Leading Role- Kajal Aggarwal
Kajal Aggarwal took home the ‘Best Actor In A Leading Role' award for her effective performance in Nene Raja Nene Mantri. Rana Daggubati received the award on her behalf.

Best Actor In A Negative Role- Rana Daggubati
Tollywood heartthrob Rana Daggubati bagged the ‘Best Actor In A Negative Role' award for Baahubai 2. His portrayal of the ruthless Bhallaldev was a major highlight of the magnum opus.

Best Director- SS Rajamouli
Not surprisingly, SS Rajamouli bagged the ‘Best Director' award. Last year, he made plenty of news because of his much-loved magnum opus Baahubali 2 which emerged as the biggest hit of the 2017.
Best Actor In A Leading Role- Prabhas
Prabhas was adjudged the ‘Best Actor' for his rocking portrayal of the virtuous titular character in Baahubali 2. The film was directed by SS Rajamouli and also featured Anushka Shetty in the lead.
