There's no denying the fact that 2018 has been a year of mixed fortunes for the young heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda. This August, he became the talk of the town when Geetha Govindam opened to a thunderous response at the box office. However, his next release, NOTA failed to impress the fans and ended up being a commercial failure. At present, Vijay Deverakonda is gearing up for the release of Taxiwala. The supernatural-thriller is slated to hit the screens on November 17, 2018, and it has created a healthy amount of buzz amongst the fans.
Now, the film is in the limelight for a shocking reason.
Taxiwala Leaked In HD Quality
In an unfortunate development, the full movie has been leaked online in HD quality, merely days before its theatrical release. The notorious gang Tamilrockers is behind this leak. Needless to say, this is going to affect the film's opening day collections big time.
Not The First Case...
Interestingly, this is not the first time Taxiwala has fallen prey to piracy. Some time ago, an 'unfinished' version of the copy was leaked by a few miscreants. Those links are also, reportedly, creating a problem for the team once again.
In Case You Did Not Know...
Piracy is one of the biggest problems facing the film industry today. Recently, the Tamil biggie, Sarkar was leaked online by Tamilrockers on the day of its release and this took a toll on its opening day collections. Recent releases such as Aravinda Sametha and U Turn too have suffered because of piracy.
The Kollywood actor Vishal is one of the biggest and most vocal critics of piracy. The TFPC President has often urged the fans to refrain from indulging in such murky activities. The Samar star has also played a pivotal role in shutting down several illegal websites.
Just like Vishal, Vijay Deverakonda too has condemned piracy and requested his fans to refrain from supporting piracy. Similarly, he has asked the government to take an action against those who indulge in piracy. However, the fate of Taxiwala reveals that there is still a tremendous scope for improvement.
