Last month, the charming Vijay Deverakonda received some bad news when his much-hyped NOTA opened to a lukewarm response at the box office and failed to impress the audience. According to a leading website, the full movie has been leaked online for 'free downloading' even before its release. Apparently, a group of miscreants leaked an 'unfinished' copy of Taxiwala some time ago and the same links are going viral now.
Vijay Deverakonda Condemns The Leak
Condemning the leak, Vijay Deverakonda released a video and asked his fans to refrain from watching the pirated movie. He also compared the unfinished film to a bowl of uncooked pasta and used humour to make his point. Commenting on the matter, he added that the government should act against such miscreants and put an end to piracy.

"We made our point through laughter rather than rage and tears. Those who do these things (film piracy) are not going to be daunted by threats or emotional ourbursts. Until the government clamps down heavily on piracy I feel the best way to combat the menace is to appeal to fans." - (sic)

Piracy is one of the biggest challenges facing the film industry today. Recently, the Tamil biggie, Sarkar was leaked online within a day of its release and this took a toll on its collections. Similarly, the Tollywood action-drama Aravinda Sametha and the Bollywood film Thugs Of Hindostan too fell prey to piracy within hours of hitting the screens.
