Veteran Actor Prasad Passes Away

In an unfortunate development, the veteran actor Prasad has passed away much to the shock of his die-hard fans. He died on Sunday(October 21, 2018) at a private hospital in Hyderabad where he was being treated for an illness .

One is likely to get a clearer picture once more details are revealed. Prasad was a popular name in the theatre circles and he got his first major break in the film world when he acted in the 1983 release Babai Abbai.

In the years that followed, Prasad acted in films such Nuvvu Nenu, Bhadra and Jai Chiranjeevi and this helped him carve a niche for himself in the industry. During his illustrious career, he acted in nearly 150 films and worked with some of the biggest names in Tollywood.

Besides Telugu film, he also acted in a few Tamil films. The Rajinikanth starrer Sivaji is arguably the most popular Tamil film of his career. In the Shankar directorial, he played the role of a CBI officer.
Prasad was born as Korlam Parvathi Varaprasada Rao in Vizag.

Once he entered the film industry, his colleagues began referring to him as 'Vizag Prasad'.

His death is a loss for the industry and we hope his family members stay strong in this difficult time
