KGF's theatrical rights in the AP and TS market are valued at Rs 5 crore. Given his exceptional performance, KGF has turned out to be a highly profitable venture for all concerned. The general feeling is that it is going to be quite difficult for any other Kannada film to experience such success in the Telugu states again.

Director SS Rajamouli had praised KGF prior to its release, saying that he was 'blown away' by its brilliance. He had also praised Yash and highlighted how he became a big star despite coming from a simple background. The Baahubali director's praise added to the buzz surrounding the Telugu version of KGF and helped it beat the competition.

The blockbuster response to KGF in AP And TS has made Yash hot property in the Telugu industry. Many fans are dying to see him do a straight Telugu movie and add a new dimension to his career. In fact, some time ago, it was even rumoured that the 'Rocking Star' would be seen playing a negative role in RRR. However, Yash soon made it clear that he was not even approached for the movie.
