Godfather Digital Rights: Megastar Chiranjeevi Starrer Political Drama's Rights Acquired By Netflix?

Megastar Chiranjeevi's upcoming political action film Godfather, which is a remake of the hit Malayalam film Lucifer starring Mohanlal, is ready for a huge Dasara release. The movie is directed by Mohan Raja and is aimed for a theatrical release all over the world on October 5.

Ahead of the film's theatrical release, the digital rights business of Godfather hit the headlines. The movie's digital streaming rights have reportedly been secured by OTT giant Netflix for Rs 57 Crore. Netflix bagged the rights to the film's Telugu and Hindi versions.

Chiranjeevi plays the role of Bhaskar Raju AKA Godfather. Bollywood actor Salman Khan appears in a cameo as Special Agent Arman Singh. Nayanthara is cast as Sathyapriya Jaidev, and Satyadev Kancharana plays the role of Jaidev Reddy.

Murali Sharma will be seen in the role of Devendra, Sunil as Ganesh, Brahmaji as Bharath Naidu, Samuthirakani as ACP Raghuram, Tanya Ravichandran, and Gangavva are part of the film's cast.

Godfather Digital Streaming Rights

The makers of the film are about to kick-start the promotions shortly. Nirav Shah is the director of photography for Godfather. Marthand K Venkatesh edited the movie, and S Thaman composed the entire soundtrack.

Godfather is produced by Super Good Films and Konidela Production Company. PVR Pictures is distributing the film.
