RRR First Review Out: Jr NTR Is The Film’s Soul & Ram Charan Is In Terrific Form

Just a couple of days to go and you will get to witness one of the highly anticipated Indian films RRR directed by Baahubali helmer SS Rajamouli. The film has already become the talk of the town for its staggering advance booking report, as per which the period drama will have a record-shattering opening at the ticket windows. Moreover, RRR's first review has also made headlines for obvious reasons. Going by the online reviews by critics, the Ram Charan-Jr NTR-starrer is on its way to becoming one of the classics of Indian cinema.

According to Umair Sandhu, critic and a member of the Overseas Censor Board, who happened to watch RRR recently, the leading men's deadly combo is the highlight of the Rajamouli directorial. In his tweet, he wrote, "#JrNTR is the Soul of #RRR. He Stole the Show all the way. #RamCharan is in Terrific Form. What a Deadly Combo in #RRR by #SSRajamouli. Aag Laga di Dono na ."

In his Instagram stories, where he conventionally uploads reviews of films, Sandhu wrote, "#RRR makes you proud that an Indian filmmaker dared to dream big and accomplished it. It is definitely not to be missed. Call it a box office blockbuster today, but tomorrow it will be remembered as a classic. #JrNTR and #RamCharan gave career-best performances! What a deadly combo #AjayDevgn is surprise package."

The colorist of RRR, Shiva Kumar BVR has also praised the film calling it an emotional watch. He tweeted, "Just seen @RRRMovie . Although I saw each frame 1000s of times as a colorist, I was more emotional when I saw the last copy as a regular audience. I say strongly, it breaks all records and creates new records that no one can break & it charges over 3k crores. Write it down."

For the unversed, Ram Charan and Jr NTR are playing the roles of freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem respectively in the film. Set in pre-independence India, the film is a fictional take on the younger days of the celebrated freedom fighters. Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt plays a key role in the upcoming film.
