7G Brundavan Colony is a cult romantic musical love story that was released in November 2004. Written and directed by Selvaraghavan, featuring debutant Ravi Krishna as the protagonist, the movie attained a cult status over the years.
Amid much fanfare, the movie hit the screens in select theatres across the two Telugu-speaking states on September 22. The movie met with a thunderous response from the fans and movie buffs.

Speaking at the re-release meet, the producer of the movie, AM Ratnam said, "I have a good name in Tollywood for making films like Kartavyam, and Bharateeyudu. Of all the films I produced, 7G Brundavan Colony attained a cult status. I hope the re-release will give a new experience to the fans of the film who can watch it in an advanced version. The sequel for the movie is also on the cards and work will kick-start from October. The script is ready and director Selvaraghavan and Yuvan Shankar Raja will work on the sequel as well."
Ravi Krishna Is Not The First Choice For The Lead Role
The movie, which is being celebrated on its re-release day in the two Telugu states, has several behind-the-camera trivia. In the recent interaction with Ravi Krishna, who rose to overnight popularity by playing the role of Ravi to the T, is not the first choice of the filmmakers.
Ravi Krishna himself revealed in his recent interaction with a YouTube channel that his father had no intention of making him an actor and that he had to because of the non-availability of Suriya and Madhavan. "The director and producer wanted to cast Suriya or Madhavan but it didn't work out. Then they decided to cast a new face. That is how I became an actor in that film."
