Adipurush Box Office Collection Day 6: Prabhas Film's Collections Continue To Shrink Due To Countless Issues

Adipurush is India's biggest film based on Hindu mythology, Ramayanam, the epic. It is for the first time Ramayanam is depicted on a huge scale on the silver screen. Pan-India star Prabhas plays the lead role in the film which is directed by Om Raut.

Adipurush hit the screens on June 16. It was released all over the world in five languages on over 7000 screens. The movie is getting mixed responses from fans and critics since its release.

Makers REVISE BAJRANG's Dialogues

Following severe outrage and countless controversies/objections about Bajran's dialogues in the film, the makers have revised the dialogues during the episode of Lanka Dahan.

Adipurush 3D At Rs 150 On June 22 & June 23

In a bid to revive the drop in collections, the distributors of the film decided to offer the 3D ticket for Adipurush at Rs 150 on June 22 and 23. Several hit films in the past have implemented such ticket price reduction startegy to increase their collection. Prabhas' Adipurush now joins the bandwagon.

Adipurush Story

As known for ages, Adipurush is the story of Ayodhya's prince Raghava (Prabhas) and his brother Lakshmana (Sunny Singh). Raghava's wife Janaki (Kriti Sanon) is kidnapped by Lankesh (Saif Ali Khan) and taken to Lanka. Raghava and Lakshmana head to Lanka to save Janaki. How does Raghava take on Lankesh forms the rest of the story?

Adipurush Box Office Collection

The advance bookings for Adipurush witnessed a mad rush once they were made available for the film buffs. The tickets were sold like hotcakes across the Hindi belt, and down south, in the two Telugu-speaking states, the movie enjoyed a great openings worldwide. However, in Tamil Nadu, people didn't vibe to the 'Jai Shriram' movie.

The movie made a non-theatrical pre-release business of about Rs 240 Crore. About 1.5 lakh tickets were distributed for free.

Adipurush Day-Wise Box Office Collection

The movie made an exceptional sum of money on its opening weekend from June 16 to June 18. But by Sunday, the film's occupancy ratio has decreased considerably. However, astonishingly, the collections dropped by a whopping 75 percent by Monday i.e., June 19, with fewer footfalls registered across the country.

Adipurush Cast

In the movie based on the Indian mythological epic Ramayana, Prabhas played the role of Raghava, and Kriti Sanon was seen in the character of Janaki. Saif Ali Khan played the Lankesh, Sunny Singh as Lakshmana, Devdatta Nage as Bajrang, and Vatsal Sheth as Indrajit. In addition, actresses Sonal Chauhan played the role of Mandodari, Lankesh's wife, and Trupti Toradmal played Surpanaka, Lankesh's sister in the film.

Adipurush Crew

Adipurush is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair under the T-Series Films and Retrophiles banner. The movie's cinematography was handled by Karthik Palani, and Editing was done by Apurva Motiwale Sahai and Ashish Mhatre together.

While Adipurush's background score was rendered by Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara, the movie's tunes and songs are composed by Ajay-Atul and Sachet-Parampara.
