Adipurush Box Office Collection Day 2: Prabhas Starrer Witnesses Dip Amid Fan Protests; Crosses Rs 150cr Mark

Om Raut's Adipurush has been one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Kriti Sanon, the movie happened to be a mythological epic and witnessed a thunderous response at the box office courtesy of the massive buzz around the movie.

It was reported that Adipurush ended up becoming the biggest pan India opener of the year and also managed to beat Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan. After almost touching the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office, Adipurush has reportedly witnessed a dip in collections on the second day of release especially in the Telugu versions.

As per a report published in Times Now, Adipurush has made a collection of around Rs 62 crores. The media report also suggested that the mythological epic has managed to cross the Rs 150 crore mark as the total collection is around Rs 153 crore. Reportedly, the Om Raut directorial witnessed a substantial dip of 33-35% on the second day. However, the Hindi version of the movie is going strong at the box office.

Meanwhile, Adipurush has managed to grab the fourth rank in the gross worldwide box office collections after RRR, Baahubaki 2: The Conclusion and KGF: Chapter 2.

To note, Adipurush has opened to a mixed response from the audience and critics. While Prabhas fans have been in awe of the movie, the audience has been quite disappointed by the VFX in the movie. In fact, post Adipurush's VFX work, there has been a new found respect for Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra and the stupendous VFX work.

On the other hand, Adipurush has also been mired with a massive controversy and has been facing criticism and trolling for its dialogues and visual effects. This isn't all. Several protests have been organised across the country demanding a ban on the movie.
