The film team has officially announced that Prabhas starrer 'Aadipurush' has already collected Rs.375 crore worldwide.

Adipurush is a movie directed by Om Raut based on a part of Ramayana story. It stars Prabhas as Rama, Saif Ali Khan as Ravana and Kirti Sanon as Sita. This film, made in 3D technology, was released in theaters on June 16 in 5 languages simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The film is receiving negative reviews and fans are commenting that the graphics are too bad.

However, the film is making a record at the box office. It has been officially announced that the movie 'Aadipurush' has collected Rs.140 crore worldwide on its first day. It is worth noting that the total budget of the film is Rs.500 crore.

Adipurush Faces Heavy Criticism

From the trailer to the release of the film, the film has been garnering various criticisms and controversies. Various aspects of the film like its VFX scenes, production, screenplay, theatrical releases have been mocked on social media. Majority of the viewers also gave negative reviews.

In this case, the All India Cine Workers Association has protested saying that the scenes and dialogues of the film are defamatory of Ramayana, Sri Rama and Hanuman. They have requested Prime Minister Modi to stop the screening of the film immediately and ban the film to protect the honors of Sri Rama, Sita, Hanuman and Hindu sentiments from being insulted.

In a statement released by them, "The screenplay and dialogues of the movie Aadipurush are displayed in a way that denigrates Sri Rama and Hanuman. The movie insults Hindu religious sentiments and Hindu people and Sanatana Dharma. Because of this, the All India Film Workers Union requests the government to ban the movie immediately."
