Adipurush: Here's The REASON WHY Makers Of Prabhas' Costliest Film Refrained From Interviews, Promotions, Etc
Prabhas' Adipurush Makers Say No To Interviews & Promotional Activities: Adipurush is going to hit the screens in a day and the euphoria around the socio-fantasy epic is sky-high. People all over the country are in frenzied mode as they have been awaiting the magnum opus to unfold on the silver screen on June 16.
Directed by Om Raut, who earlier made films like Haunted (as a producer), Lokmanya: Ek Yug Purush, and Tanhaji, Adipurush is a movie that is expected to make Prabhas, the pan-India star grow into an international icon, as well as an attempt to showcase the Hindu epic saga, to enthrall the viewers.
Adipurush Story
The epic is the story of Rama aka Raghav, who embarks on a defining journey from Ayodhya to Lanka, in a bid to rescue his kidnapped wife Sita aka Janaki. He has to defeat the mighty king of Lanka, Ravanasura aka Lankesh with the help of his disciple Hanuma aka Bajrang. The movie is based on the mythological depiction of the same by Valmiki in the Ramayana, a Hindu mythological scripture.
Adipurush Makers Refrain From Promotional Activities & Interviews
Although the movie is massive on its own, which was made on a budget of Rs 500 Crore, the makers have decided to not promote the film on any other platform after the pre-release event. Before any big release, no matter the scale of the film, actors, actresses, and directors are expected to embark on huge promotional campaigns to take their film to every nook and corner.
For Adipurush, promotion and campaigning might not be required, after the grand pre-release event that was held in Tirupati on June 10, the makers including the producers and actors of Adipurush were instructed not to speak to any media channels and give out interviews.
Why? After a couple of unprecedented and unwanted issues stirred up controversies during the pre-release event in Tirupati, coupled with the fact that the movie is sentimental for the Hindus, the team led by Om Raut has put in place measures to curb further negativity and cut down the chance for controversies by not taking part in any interviews, etc.

In the movie based on the Indian mythological epic Ramayana, Prabhas played the role of Raghava, and Kriti Sanon was seen in the character of Janaki. Saif Ali Khan played the Lankesh, Sunny Singh as Lakshmana, Devdatta Nage as Bajrang, and Vatsal Sheth as Indrajit. In addition, actresses Sonal Chauhan and Trupti Toradmal played important roles in the film.
