Adipurush Worldwide Theatre Count: One of the much-awaited films of the year, pan-India star Prabhas' socio fantasy drama based on the Indian mythological epic Ramayana, written by Valmiki, is hitting the screens as Adipurush. The movie is going to be released worldwide in thousands of theatres in as many as five languages, on June 16.

The Om Raut directorial has set the record books ringing even before the film's theatrical release by registering the highest number of interests on the ticketing website, surpassing Pathaan, and selling close to 6 lakh tickets in the Hindi belt alone.

The movie which has Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan in pivotal roles has been raving reviews already due to the early reviews by people who have had the privilege to watch it during the censor screening. The two trailers of the film are equally exciting and upped the curiosity among the fans of the movie and the actor.

Adipurush Story

The movie is based on the story written by Valmiki in the epic Ramayana. About 7000 years ago, Ayodhya's prince Raghava and his brother Lakshmana embark on a mission to retrieve the abducted wife of Rama, Janaki. They fight several obstacles to face Lankesh, the demon king of Lanka.

Adipurush Cast

In the movie based on the Indian mythological epic Ramayana, Prabhas played the role of Raghava, and Kriti Sanon was seen in the character of Janaki. Saif Ali Khan played the Lankesh, Sunny Singh as Lakshmana, Devdatta Nage as Bajrang, and Vatsal Sheth as Indrajit. In addition, actresses Sonal Chauhan and Trupti Toradmal played important roles in the film.
